Welcome to MSEA

president transition
TRANSITION (l-r): Ken Moore, new MSEA President, and Scott Dianda, past-president, shake hands at the 2010 General Assembly where delegates elected new state officers on July 10.  Delegates also voted overwhelmingly to endorse the candidacy of  past-president Scott Dianda for Michigan's 110th House District seat.  The primary election is on August 3.  Union representation in the legislature is extremely important with all the challenges facing our state.

In the Upper Peninsula, Scott Dianda, MSEA past president, won 47 percent of the vote over Iron County Commissioner Robert Black and park supervisor William Doan in Michigan's 2010 Primary Election held on Tuesday.  Scott is from Calumet and will face Republican Matt Huuki, an auto repair shop owner, in the November General Election for the 110th House District.  Congratulations to Scott on his win which is also a victory for union representation in the legislature!
